Volunteers
Research shows that when parents and carers are actively involved in children's learning and show a real interest in what is happening at school, children progress more quickly. At Marlborough Primary School we aim to foster this important home/school partnership from an early age. We value the skills and expertise of our volunteers and their commitment and support in raising standards for the children of Marlborough.
Throughout the school year, your child’s teacher will request your help for trips and other activities. During the year we ensure that there are many opportunities for you to work alongside your child in our curriculum workshops, on trips, at off-timetable activities and other special events.
We have also have a volunteer scheme for parents and carers who are able to dedicate regular time to support children in school. All adults that work in school must have a List 99 check and we will organise this for you. Regular volunteers will work with children in different classes than their own and must have a DBS check.
You can access the full job descriotion, person specification and applications from this page. We also recommend you review the policies page to access and read all safeguarding umbrella policies which will be integral to your role as a volunteer at Marlborough Primary School.
